April 9, 2026 – The 293-room Ricardo Marriott DFW Westlake has opened 8 miles from DFW International Airport as of April 7 after a complete renovation and rebranding.
The new name honors award-winning Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta, who infused the original property with his distinctive use of bright colors, light and shadow, and geometric shapes. The hotel was acquired in September of 2023 as the Marriott Westlake by a joint venture of NewcrestImage and Dabu Group, and is now managed by Coury Hospitality.
“We have reimagined this property for today’s marketplace,” said Mehul Patel, Managing Partner of NewcrestImage. “It is a vibrant and contemporary blend of swanky luxury and homey comfort that provides us with strong rate performance in a strategically active market.”
Paul Coury, CEO of Coury Hospitality, added, “The hotel has been renovated and rebranded to drive performance for ownership, to elevate the guest experience, and to strengthen its role within the local community. We honored the property’s architectural pedigree while introducing new energy through design, enhanced amenities, and modern technology.”
Part of the renovation added the House of Toro Chophouse and Patio, a steakhouse with a Latin flavor. The property features two other restaurants – the Solana Kitchen and Lounge plus Café 31.
The property, which includes nearly 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and 17 event rooms, offers modern style and convenience for both business and leisure travelers. Nearby are many corporate offices, as well as upscale shopping areas such as Southlake Town Square and The Shops at Lakeside DFW. Also nearby is historic downtown Grapevine as well as attractions such as Texas Motor Speedway, AT&T Stadium, Six Flags Over Texas, Grapevine Botanical Garden, and Marshall Creek Ranch.
