COO, Construction Finance
In 1998, Daxesh Patel joined his brother Chirag in the hotel industry and knew from the outset that he wanted to be involved in construction. Daxesh developed a passion for historic building conversions during their milestone project in Amarillo — the restoration and rebranding of a historic downtown property, which was recognized by the State of Texas with an award for best adaptive reuse of a building.
In 2012, Daxesh oversaw a conversion that was also one of the company’s highest-profile projects yet: the transformation of a national historic site in the French Quarter of New Orleans into the first AC Hotel by Marriott in North America. He worked closely with the Marriott team to meet the elevated expectations for the newly-imported brand’s expansion to the U.S., including working tirelessly on the renovation, from pre-planning to construction and post-opening.
Over the years, Daxesh has also developed more than 20 new-build hotels, each with a touch of his creative flair. Daxesh holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems both from the University of Texas at Dallas.
