Over the years, Chirag has honed acumen for hospitality finance. He has worked with dozens of lenders to secure over half a billion dollars in loans, learning the best of both worlds on how community and institutional banks differ in thinking in terms of underwriting for risk. And his thoughtful approach to structuring low capital investments has smoothed the way for complex development deals that relied on historic tax credits and other forms of public financing, such as Tax Increment Financing. Chirag led the company to its first public-private partnership with the City of Amarillo.
For almost two years, he worked hand in hand with city officials to secure a major contract to develop a convention center hotel that is scheduled for groundbreaking in 2015. Chirag attributes his success in negotiations to his genuine desire to identify mutually beneficial terms for both parties. Chirag holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas.
