NewcrestImage Opens Dual Branded Courtyard & TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Dallas, TX
GRAPEVINE, TX - DECEMBER 23, 2013: The Dallas area's first "dual branded" hotel has opened, featuring a 181-room Courtyard by Marriott and a 120-suite TownePlace Suites by Marriott. The property, which is managed by NewcrestImage, is located on 10 acres of a 52-acre site owned by the company in Grapevine, about two miles from the DFW Airport.
"When a hotel looks special, guests feel special -- and they're anxious to come back -- so we have created a property that stands out in an appropriately big Texas way," said Mehul Patel, Chairman and CEO of NewcrestImage.
The two hotels have individual entrances but share the same management and sales team, as well as the same housekeeping staff, with personnel having been thoroughly cross-trained about the distinctive features of both brands.
The properties also share a resort-style outdoor swimming pool; a state-of-the art exercise facility; and more than 13,000 sq. ft. of modular meeting space, including a ball room highlighted by a spectacular chandelier with one million sparkling imported crystals.
"Having two hotels in one building offers us several very significant advantages including lower costs for real estate, construction, and operations, plus a wider audience for our marketing initiatives," added Patel.
"This dual branded hotel represents the perfect lodging choice for our customers in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex because it accommodates a broad range of guest needs -- from short business or leisure stays with the Courtyard by Marriott to long-term stays with the TownePlace Suites," said Brian King, Global Brand Officer for Marriott International.
"We applaud NewcrestImage for its vision in developing this best-in-class lodging complex. The Marriott flag will fly proudly above these two magnificent hotels."
The new dual branded hotel in Dallas becomes only the third in Texas -- with others located in Houston and Austin.
